TRIA, an innovative landscape lighting system created through the collaboration of Croatian lighting designer Dean Skira and manufacturer FILIX, has won first prize for product design at the prestigious Beacon Awards in New York.

Presented by the Designers Lighting Forum of New York (DLFNY), the award recognizes outstanding achievements in lighting and architectural product design.
TRIA introduces a new approach to exterior lighting: a modular, triangular pole system that allows flexible mounting and repositioning of multiple projectors and linear elements at different heights — simplifying installation, reducing cabling, and maintaining a clean visual environment as landscapes evolve.
“TRIA was born from the idea that light should follow the growth and transformation of space — a system that adapts, remains sustainable, and visually pure,” said Dean Skira, designer of TRIA.
The jury praised the concept, stating: “This one pole is multi-useful, ensures sustainability, and is timelessly modern.”
“This award confirms that Croatian innovation and design can stand shoulder to shoulder with global brands,” added Marko Jurman, CEO and co-owner of FILIX.
The recognition reinforces the strength of collaboration between Skira and FILIX, positioning TRIA as a sustainable and forward-thinking solution for the design of public and landscape lighting.
