The Light+Building Middle East Awards ceremony, where Trick Em by Dean Skira for iGuzzini was recognized as the Outdoor Product of the Year 2025, took place in Dubai on 16th January at the Ritz-Carlton DIFC. This prestigious event celebrates innovative and cutting-edge solutions in lighting and building technology, highlighting achievements that push the boundaries of design and functionality.
The recognition of Trick Em underscores its impact on architectural lighting, blending creativity with technology to redefine outdoor spaces. Trick Em is an innovative LED luminaire designed to create dynamic and emotionally engaging environments by transforming architectural spaces with moving light. It features ten autonomous segments capable of 360° movement, allowing for expressive freedom with segmental, dynamic lighting effects.
The design offers three distinct lighting effects—light blades, radial light, and washer—that can be modulated to create graphic effects enhancing any environment. Its compact and versatile form allows installation on walls, ceilings, or floors, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications.
Dean Skira emphasizes that Trick Em was created not to provide general illumination but to play with space, creating awe and wonder through light.
